INH Professional — a mobile application operated by [INH Professional] ("INH," "we," "us," or "our")
Last updated: 8/18/2026
This Location Data section explains how the INH Professional mobile application (the "App") accesses, collects, uses, shares, and retains your location information, and the choices and rights you have regarding that data. It supplements our full Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the App generally. If there is a conflict between this section and the general Privacy Policy on the topic of location data, this section controls.
By enabling location permissions on your device and using the App's location-based features, you consent to the collection and use of location information as described below, to the extent required by applicable law.
Depending on the permissions you grant and the features you use, the App may collect:
Precise location data, derived from GPS, Wi-Fi access points, Bluetooth beacons, and cell tower triangulation, accurate to a specific point (for example, your exact position when you search for a nearby salon or stockist).
Approximate (coarse) location data, derived from your IP address or general Wi-Fi/cell network information, sufficient to estimate your city, region, or country.
Location associated with an address you provide, such as a shipping or billing address entered at checkout.
We collect precise location data only when you grant the relevant device-level permission (see Section 6) and only while a location-dependent feature is active, unless you have separately enabled "Always Allow" or background location access and been notified of that fact at the time of the request.
We use location data for the following purposes:
(a) Store, salon, and stockist locator. To identify and display nearby salons, retailers, or stockists that carry INH products, calculate distance and directions, and show local availability.
(b) Shipping, delivery, and order fulfillment. To estimate shipping times and costs, populate address fields, calculate applicable taxes and duties, and route or verify deliveries.
(c) Marketing and personalization, including notifications. To send you location-relevant push notifications and marketing messages (for example, nearby promotions, restock alerts, or region-specific offers); to tailor content, promotions, product recommendations, and advertising to your general geographic area (region- or country-specific offers, currency, or language); to measure the effectiveness of location-based marketing campaigns; and, where you have separately consented, to support geo-targeted advertising delivered through third-party advertising or analytics partners.
(d) Analytics and app improvement. To understand aggregate usage patterns across regions (in de-identified or aggregated form wherever feasible) so we can improve the App.
(e) Fraud prevention and security. To help detect and prevent fraudulent transactions or unauthorized account access.
We do not use precise location data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in other US states, precise geolocation data (generally, location accurate to within approximately 1,850 feet / 560 meters) is classified as "sensitive personal information."
We collect precise geolocation only through the App's GPS-based features, and only with your device-level permission.
[If applicable:] We share approximate location and device identifiers with third-party advertising and analytics partners for the marketing purposes described in Section 3(c). Depending on how these partners use that data, this activity may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the CPRA. [If this applies, add a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control here and in-app, not just a contact-us process.]
Your rights. If you are a California resident (or a resident of another state with an applicable privacy law), you have the right to: know what location data we collect and how we use/disclose it; delete your location data; correct inaccurate location data; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and limit our use of sensitive personal information (including precise geolocation) to purposes necessary to provide the App's core features.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@inhhair.com or through Settings > Privacy > Your Rights in the App. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, we collect, use, and disclose location information only with your knowledge and meaningful consent, for the purposes identified at or before the time of collection (Section 3, above), and only to the extent reasonable for those purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by adjusting your device permissions (Section 6) or contacting us at privacy@inhhair.com. You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information, including location data we hold about you.
You are never required to enable location services to use the App, though some features (such as the salon/stockist locator or location-based marketing messages) may not function, or may require you to manually enter an address or region instead.
On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > INH Professional > choose Never / Ask Next Time / While Using the App / Always.
On Android: Settings > Location > App permissions > INH Professional > choose Don't Allow / Allow only while using the app / Allow all the time.
You can also revoke notification, camera, photo, or other permissions the same way. Disabling location at the device level takes effect immediately for future collection, but does not retroactively delete data already collected — see Section 9 for deletion requests.
Before requesting location access, and separately before requesting "Always Allow" / background location access, the App will show you an in-app screen explaining what data is collected and why, before the system permission prompt appears. You may decline at that point, or later, without losing access to the App's core, non-location features.
If you grant location permission, we may use your approximate or precise location to determine which push notifications and email marketing messages are most relevant to you (for example, alerting you to a nearby stockist, local promotion, or regional restock). You can opt out of marketing notifications at any time through Settings > Notifications in the App, or through your device's notification settings, without disabling location access used for other App features (such as the store locator or checkout).
We may share location data with:
Service providers who perform mapping, shipping/logistics, payment, fraud-prevention, analytics, or customer-support functions on our behalf, under contracts that restrict their use of the data to those services.
Advertising and analytics partners, where you have consented to location-based marketing (Section 3(c)), and subject to the opt-out rights described in Section 4.
Law enforcement or regulators, where required by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of INH, our users, or others.
A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections described here.
We do not sell precise geolocation data to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We retain location data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in Section 3, or as required by law (for example, to satisfy shipping, tax, or accounting record-keeping obligations). Precise location pings used for the locator and marketing-notification features are typically retained for [retention period] before being deleted or aggregated. You may request deletion of your location data at any time by contacting privacy@inhhair.com or using the in-app deletion path at Settings > Privacy > Delete My Data, subject to the exceptions described in Sections 4 and 5.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect location data from children. If you believe a child has provided location data to us, contact privacy@inhhair.com and we will delete it.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect location data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Location Data section from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of location-based features after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
